Electrical inspection: pass! Cabinets delivered as well!

While we were disappointed that our usual electrician was unable to work with us on the kitchen due to conflicting schedules, we have been really happy with Peter of Peter Vitale Electric.  He was here until 8:45 last night making sure we could get our inspection done today and move forward with our timeline.  He has been prompt, enjoys listening to music when he works like we do, and is a good whistler.  He also had the most reasonable quote, and he has worked with us trouble-shooting some of our specific requests.

The cabinets were delivered at 6:50 AM this morning.  We were his first stop, and he wasn't kidding about the 7:00 time he gave us!  Andrew, the driver was pretty funny, and very quick.

They are currently still in boxes in the garage, and I am dying to go inspect them all right now...we have to do it within 7 days...but I will be patient...OK, we opened one - the garbage pull-out is going between the fridge and dishwasher and needs to get sprayed light grey before install anyway...

We are moving on to insulation so that we can get our next inspection done, hopefully by Monday night.  This weekend we will tackle the hardwood floor installation, since that can be done before inspection.  Then early next week it's drywall, bead board ceiling, and we can install our cabinets!  Soft deadline (a Liz-wish deadline) for cabinet install - next Friday...hard deadline, 8/15.  Good thing Brent's sabbatical starts on Monday!
